About Me

On the Swilcan Bridge after a round on The Old Course in St. Andrews, Scotland.

I am currently a graduate student at the University of Texas at Austin pursuing my Masters degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering, and I graduated from Rice University with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering in May 2011. My real passion lies in structural engineering. I love anything to do with tall buildings, bridges, or any novel structural design.

When I'm not working on my grasp of structural design, I like to play golf, and, as seen in the picture, I have been able to travel pretty far to do that. Born and raised southeast of Denver, Colorado, I am a die-hard Broncos and Rockies fan, and I love watching their games when I get the chance. I also enjoy reading educational books
about all sorts of topics ranging from economics and risk to leadership and emotional intelligence. I'm always willing to learn something new, and I'm always looking for new books to read or ways to expand my area of knowledge.

If you would like to more formally see what I have worked on over the past few years, I have posted my Resume/CV and my publications and presentations.
